CoL Activities


The Romanian CoL activities deal with the following issues:


1. Designing and setting up the CoL (2 meetings - the first one being exploratory; the second one being decisional).
1.1. 10.12.2013 - 2 hours
1.2. 28.01.2014 - 2 hours


2. Presenting and discussing the project main objectives, goals - CoL, RRI and "6E Model" (2 meetings).
2.1. 05.02.2014 - 4 hours (Dambovita County Library) - including also the Official launching of IRRESISTIBLE Project in Romania and discussions related to Role of the CoL
2.2. 05.03.2014 - 4 hours (Dambovita County Library) - including discussion related to RRI and the proposed "6E Model"


3. Learning and understanding the "Nano" topics: Nanomaterials, Renewable (solar) energy sustainability using Nanoscience / Nanotechnology (presentations are oriented on the role of "Nano" in our everyday life) (1 meeting)
19.03.2014 - 4 hours (Valahia University Targoviste) - including the preparation of the first Workshop with students


4. Developing the specific topics for the Training Modules (6 meetings)
4.1. 9.04.2014 - 4 hours (History Museum Targoviste) - including the first Workshop with students ("Nanoscience and Responsible Research")
4.2. 23.04.2014 - 4 hours (Valahia University Targoviste) - including the preparation of the second Workshop with students ("Multimedia Instruments for Promoting the Concept of Responsible Research and Innovation in Museum Practices")
4.3. 14.05.2014 - 4 hours (Prahova Natural Science Museum) - including the second Workshop with students ("Multimedia Instruments for Promoting the Concept of Responsible Research and Innovation in Museum Practices")
4.4. 4.06.2014 - 4 hours (Dambovita County Library) - including the third Workshop with students ("Responsible Research and Innovation in the Area of Nanotechnology")
4.5. 14.07.2014 - 4 hours (Valahia University Targoviste)
4.6. 29.08.2014 - 4 hours (Valahia University Targoviste)


5. How to design an exhibit / interactive exhibit and what is the importance of its use in the process of Science teaching and learning? (1 meeting).


6. Implementation process of the activities in the classroom or into non-formal school Science program (estimated moment of starting: September - October 2014).


7. Evaluating the project activities after the implementation process, followed by the selection of the projects / activity sequences that will produce the desired effects (1 meeting).


8. Reviewing the project activities and deciding which projects can be adopted for the 2nd round (1 meeting).


IRRESISTIBLE is a project on teacher training, combining formal and informal learning focused on Responsible Research and Innovation.

It is a coordination and support action under FP7-SCIENCE-IN-SOCIETY-2013-1, ACTIVITY 5.2.2 Young people and science: Topic SiS.2013.2.2.1-1 Raising youth awareness to Responsible Research and Innovation through Inquiry ased Science Education.
